DRY RISER TESTING

DRY RISER TESTING IN LINE WITH IRISH STANDARDS

What is a dry riser?

A dry riser system consists of a network of empty pipes and valves designed for external connection to a pressurized water source by emergency services and firefighters during a fire incident. These systems play a crucial role in aiding emergency services when tackling building fires. Ensuring that your residential or commercial building is equipped with a functional dry riser system is essential for safeguarding the structure, its occupants, and belongings with minimal damage in the event of a fire. Regular testing is a mandatory requirement, with the system needing to undergo a mechanical test and be filled with water to the prescribed pressure at least every six months.

What we do

Canco Services offers comprehensive dry riser testing services. After the initial visual inspection, we test the riser with pressurised water. If there is a loss in pressure then the system is deemed to have failed. We check all inlets and outlets for leaks and replace missing or faulty items. If faults are identified, then we test the pressure after completing repairs once again before certification is issued. All in line with Irish Standards.
